Common house spiders build webs in corners, basements, garages and window wells, wherever prey insects are plentiful.

A sudden increase in webs is often a signal of a separate insect problem worth investigating.

Why it's a problem

Spider webs and egg sacs accumulate quickly in undisturbed areas, and a few species found in this region can deliver a painful bite.

Because spiders follow their food source, spider control usually works best paired with control of whatever insect they're feeding on.
